MAN-TLE's signature oversized Weather Shirt cut from a heavyweight, high density, cotton/hemp chambray in a rich sumi/indigo double dye. Woven in Aichi prefecture, the Hemp Cloth bears a pleasing smooth, dense surface with a lightly slubbed texture. With wear and washing it will soften from its initially structured state and take on a softer feel. After weaving the cloth is hand dyed in Kyoto, five meters at a time, using naturally farmed and fermented Ryukyu indigo and sumi (charcoal based) ink to produce a remarkably rich shade of blue. With washing and exposure to sunlight the colour will fade, developing a rich patina with time.
