Easy fitting offers an airy silhouette with soft lines throughout, highlighting the floating bouncy drape of the cloth. By using the warp and hemp in the weft, the fabric develops a softer texture. Since it is woven in a satin structure, the surface has a clean smooth finish, while the reverse side reveals more of the natural character of hemp. The hemp is a very fine no.80 yarn, which is extremely rare. Mordant black colouring is achieved using a wood vinegar mordant, made using iron oxide and wood. It produces a washfast, dark brown that binds strongly to fibres, producing a notably deep colour using natural methods.
